So excited to have Stevie Mae as our newest Cottonwood Breeder! Born right here at Cottonwood with her mama, Honey’s Joy and the wonderful Legendary Rocky as stud, we look forward to Stevie’s future puppies. Stevie is our first Miniature breeder weighing in at only 20 pounds. We have missed having more chocolate pups and Stevie is chocolate (bbee) with the most beautiful wavy fleece coat and highlights. She carries all colors and depending on who we breed her with, will produce a rainbow litter. This could include many shades of caramels and chocolate, and possibly apricot or even black.

Stevie is a FUN dog! She lives with our daughter’s family of five; who also have Ruby, a retired Cottonwood breeder. Stevie adores her ‘Aunt Ruby’ and they have a blast running in their backyard and keeping a lookout for squirrel invaders! It’s hard to say who’s the best cuddler, but because Stevie is smaller than Ruby, she probably gets more cuddle time in, as she fits anywhere!
One of my favorite things about Stevie is her confidence. I remember taking her to her first exam for the certification of her eyes, (CAER). The appointment was 2 hours away and Stevie was the best little traveler.  When we walked in with Stevie on a loose leash into the K-State veterinary hospital it was like she owned the place and had never met a stranger. She was completely quiet, head up looking from left to right. The heads literally turned in the waiting room; owners and their dogs, I couldn’t have been more proud of this sweet little chocolate puppy! It will be fun to search and choose just the right stud for our Stevie Mae.

What a love! Honey’s Joy (call name ‘Joy’) is our up-and-coming mama to be. She was born right here and will continue the wonderful legacy her mama Honey and dad Journey have created at Cottonwood Labradoodles. Joy has completed her health testing with flying colors and is a Platinum Paw Registered Dam with ALAA. She has also completed Puppy I, Puppy II, Basic Manners and Obedience classes and is registered for Agility Foundations I class at Family Dog Training Center. Joy’s Guardian, pastor Kay Schroeder hopes to train her to become a Therapy Dog who will accompany her to work at times as she does individual visitations within her congregation.  Joy loves to chase balls and go for walks. She happily meets new people, and her soft fur encourages lots of petting and hugs. Joy is also a snuggle buddy and loves to lay her head in your lap or do the ‘Doodle-Flop’ and present her belly for belly rubs! She is always ready for a new adventure and is a great travel companion. Joy is a small Medium in size and has a beautiful Red wavy, fleece coat. Look for puppies from Joy in 2022.
